UK Education System
The education system in Scotland varies at college and schoolchild level to England, Wales and Northern Ireland who track a related system. Education is necessary for everybody between the ages of five and sixteen, and is providing by two types of schools: independent (fee-charging) colleges and state-funded colleges. Students generally start higher education at the age of 18 and education at college or universities of further and higher education. A Bachelor degree program generally lasts for 3-4 years, a Master’s Degree program for 1 year and a Doctoral degree package for 3-4 years.
